HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANA
The September after the birth of their son Teddy…
“So what would you like for your birthday?” Christian nuzzles my neck as we lie in a lazy post-coital embrace.
“Hmm?” My limbs are languid and too heavy to move. He grins against my neck.
“Wearing you out, Mrs. Grey?”
“Yes.” The word is a happy sigh on my lips.
“What would you like?” His teeth tug at my ear lobe.
“Is that all?”
“Well… maybe something rough tomorrow.”
“Rough?” He stills beside me, surprised.
When he doesn’t respond I muster all my strength and crank one eye open. He’s gazing down at me a frown marring his lovely face. Reaching up I caress his stubbled cheek.
“You know, just because I’ve had a baby, it doesn’t mean I’m going to break.”
“I know,” he says, though he sounds doubtful.
“I’m not made of glass.” But I can’t keep my eyes open.
“I know,” he says again, his voice softer this time, his doubt erased. He gives me a sweet, tender kiss on the corner of my mouth. “I’ll see what I can do… after all, we aim to please.” He curls around me, safe in my love and within a nanosecond I’m asleep in his arms.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT IS APPRECIATED
